To be a growing community of people who love God, each other and the world, working out our faith together and inviting others to join us.
The Values
A community where...
Everyone is welcome: a safe place where our insides can come out. whether we have doubt, fear and confusion or not.
People are valued: we all have a contribution to make; an opinion, an experience, an idea - it's all vital.
Authenticity is valued: being honest, whether it sounds good or bad. the truth is more important than reputation. making no assumptions about who anyone is. growing from where we are.
What it looks like
Going for walks with friends. Meals. Pubs. Gigs. Meeting with friends who know God and those who don’t. Meeting each other’s friends. Singing songs sometimes, confessing sins sometimes. Laughing. Crying. Scrabble, painting rooms and throwing parties. Going to church and having lunch after. Setting up at church. Helping out with kids’ church.
How it runs
We sort of rotate on a four week basis. Much like the moon.
Week 1: Social - where we go to the pub or something and anyone comes.
Week 2: House meeting (it’s actually a flat)
Week 3: Church talking and listening to God evening - corporate time of prayer.
Week 4: House meeting (it’s actually a flat)
Also note that unlike the moon, some months have five weeks; we sort of deal with that as it happens. And this isn’t set in stone.
